Synopsis

Highlighting this man's life became the author's obsession during the dark period of his unbelievable misfortune. Much of the reason for this obsession was the feeling of helplessness at the time and the ever-present need to leave a legacy to his beloved children, the major joy of his existence. It became important to tell the story of this strong, yet gentle, man's trials and tribulations so that it might inspire readers to face life head on, never deviating from enjoying it to the fullest. Author Biography

Ida Lawrence

Ida Lawrence resides in Sunnyvale, California. Born and raised on a blueberry farm in the State of Maine, she is proud of her Scots-Irish heritage, her clan being officially declared Mayflower descendants. A class trip to Boston whetted her appetite for big city life, which prompted her to move to Washington, DC. She found secretarial work with a powerful lobbying group, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, situated directly across from the White House. During the Kennedy years, wanderlust struck and she journeyed to San Francisco where she lived and worked for six years. Following a leisurely three-month cross-country camper trip, she returned to the West Coast, settling in Palo Alto, California, where she met her husband-to-be. And the rest is history herewith.
