Bob Van Alstine
Bob Van Alstine grew up in Kalispell, MT where he became an apprentice printer at the age of thirteen. Six years later, he worked for the Great Northern Railroad as a telegrapher and was then drafted into the Army of the Korean War in 1950. In 1961, he went to work for the Omaha World-Herald. Now in retirement, he indulges in extensive writing of prose and poetry.
