Synopsis
It's 2001 and life seems pretty good for twenty one year old Donny b.k.a Cream. He has a new apartment, a beautiful luxury car, money from a strong clientele of customers, a tight circle of friends, and a string of women he tries to put aside when he falls in love with Toni. Cream however gets caught up in peer pressure and agrees to help his best friend rob a neighborhood kingpin named Sonny. Going against gut instinct Cream, finds himself entangled in a turn of fortune that spells disaster. Slowly, everything he achieved over the years begins to crumble away.
Playin for Gain, Payin wit Pain is a deep, dramatic and thought provoking story of a Baltimorean experiencing a true taste of karma, for bad decisions and choices he chose to make which takes him from the top of his game to the bottom of the rock. Despite the great burden he searches his soul to find exactly what he needs to build himself back up. Cream eventually finds out who he needs to have a successful life.

Donny A. Wise
Donny is a graduate of Eastern Technical High and has completed coursework at Coppin State College. A life long resident of Baltimore, Maryland he is the proud father of two and an active member of Greater Harvest Baptist church. A featured writer for the independent magazine, Encase, Donny was encouraged to become an author. He's a die hard Baltimore Ravens and San Antonio Spurs fanatic and loves making people laugh. He also has a dream of becoming an aspiring actor.
