Synopsis

The ancestors of Matt Steiner immigrated to Quincy, Illinois, from Germany in the late 1800s. His family history is traced from his grandfather’s arrival to Matt’s death from prostrate cancer. While growing up, the young Matt had a close bond with his father, and while hunting ducks together, the son developed a unique ability to call the birds into the decoys. He became so proficient that he later became state champion.

Volume I of The Matt Steiner Saga takes the family story from the beginnings to Matt’s continuing studies at Stanford University in business.
